Also, as trade dress, it can be the appearance of a product or its packaging, including size, shape, color, texture, graphics, and appearance (e.g, retail store or website). *Cosmetic companies can request trade secret status for a cosmetic ingredient / set of ingredients or apply for a patent: We do not have fragrance, flavors, or single or sets of ingredients that we'd try to umbrella under a trademark: we avoid typically trademarked ingredients and believe in full transparency for our customers. If we have any patents, it's to protect our formulas from replication.
